About Us

We are a church on mission—called to make a difference, empowered by Christ, and united in purpose.

At Metroplex Church of the Nazarene, our vision is to live as closely to the mission modeled by Jesus—being disciples who make disciples. We are committed to creating a community where people can connect, belong, and find the space to explore and grow in their faith. We believe the church is not just a place to gather, but a launching point to go, share, and love—serving both within our church and beyond, engaging the world with the love of Jesus. As we do, we trust in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to shape us into a church that:

 GOES

Actively living out our mission in our daily lives and communities.

SHARES

We openly share life with one another while proclaiming the Good News of Christ to those beyond our walls.

LOVES

Deeply loving Jesus and others with grace, compassion, and commitment.

Our Story

Metroplex Church of the Nazarene was born out of faith and unity when two congregations merged in 1985. Meridian Park Church of the Nazarene (established in 1953) and Community Church of the Nazarene (established in 1972) brought together their unique histories, strengths, and a shared vision to form a new church family.

Community Church of the Nazarene was affectionately known as the “Sending Church,” as many pastors and missionaries received their call to ministry within its walls and went out to serve. Meridian Park Church was recognized for its welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere, fostering a close-knit community of faith and worship. Together, they built a church deeply rooted in spiritual vitality, discipleship, and service.

Who We<i> <span style="color:var(--primary-color-bg)">Are Today</span></i>

Who We Are Today

At Metroplex Church of the Nazarene, we are committed to continuing this legacy of love, hope, and faithful service to God. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where people from all walks of life can connect, worship, and grow together.  Our worship services are informal yet deeply rooted in reverence for God. Discipleship remains a core value, as we guide individuals in their spiritual growth through meaningful teaching, fellowship, and opportunities to serve.

We also believe in the power of music to unite and inspire, and our vibrant worship reflects the joy and hope we find in Christ. Above all, we aim to embody the deep warmth and love of the Holy Spirit as we serve one another and our community.

What We Believe

We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
